At the turn of the year the lovely folk at WordPress were advertising a “Blogging 101” online course to help budding writers improve and hopefully learn a bit more along the way. So I decided to sign up as I believe we can never learn or know enough!
The first “assignment” is about telling you a bit more about me and why I blog – I started this blog back in 2014 to share and document my travels in the hope I could inspire others to travel or just to take people back to a specific location.
I have noticed that my writing style has changed since I begun, from being a recap/review type blog then more recently seeming to include more facts and figures in my articles. I try to have as much useful information included as I can possibly recall. One of the things I’ve learnt from travel is that you can never be prepared enough!
Ideally i am trying to connect with people who have a sense of adventure, who enjoy travel and all the world has to offer, people who aren’t afraid to get out of their comfort zone – traits that I believe I have. I’d also love to connect with people who are new to travel. Nothing beats that initial sense of trepidation when you are arriving into a new city or setting off on that first big trip!
I fully intend to keep blogging, as long as I have something to write about and as long as my great followers continue to enjoy the content then hopefully I can reach even more people and continue to enjoy writing!
