Favourite Photos #9 – View from the London Eye

My favourite part of bringing this regular segment to you is that for a few blissful minutes, we can all drift off somewhere else. Be it at home or the office, daydreaming IS a good thing. Unless you operate machinery!

Today we take a ride on the London Eye, one of the most recognisable icons of the London skyline. The city really embraces its river and there’s not many better views in town in my opinion.

It will set you back around £20, but if you know London as well as I do, you’ll agree that it’s a small price to pay for a little bit of serenity in this heaving city.

The Eye is located on Southbank so landmarks such as Big Ben, the BT Tower and once you reach the top – St Paul’s Cathedral and The Shard – can be seen.

London weather can be rather unpredictable at the best of times so this will have an effect on how far and how much you’ll be able to see at the top, even if you try to plan to do it on a forecasted “fine” day. Hopefully it’ll be clear and sunny for you!

So there you have it. Just one way you can take in a great view of London. Until next time,
