Favourite Photos #14 – Kamala

Welcome back to Favourite Photos. For this one we are on the Thai island of Phuket and in particular, Kamala. Kamala is around 10km from Patong and is a much quieter, friendlier alternative to the party town it neighbours.

View of Kamala from the pool at Baan Chang Thai Villa.
Despite being a quieter alternative there are still plenty of things to do in Kamala. From beachside cafes and restaurants, to massages, bars, pubs, shopping or simply relaxing by the hotel pool there is something for everyone.

Kamala Beach enjoys calm waters from the protection of the surrounding hills.
Another plus in Kamala’s favour is that it’s beach is tucked away from the windier sections of coast such as Patong, Karon and Kata thanks to protection from the Cape which makes beach swimming much safer and enjoyable.

On the way to get a foot massage under the palms!
A great way to pass the time for me was to take a foot massage at one of the beachfront massage huts whilst sipping on a freshly prepared Mango shake. Relaxation under the palms – I think you get the picture!

Beachside relaxation!
So that’s a quick introduction to Kamala. If you’re on the island of Phuket do check it out!
