Favourite Photos #16 – WACA Ground, Perth

With the Champions Trophy Cricket tournament now in full swing it got me reminiscing back to when I was lucky enough to go to a Cricket World Cup match, which leads us nicely into Favourite Photos #16.

Famous with cricket fans around the world, the WACA (Western Australian Cricket Association) Ground is known for its fast, bouncy pitches, close proximity to the play and its two banked hills which is a great place to sit on a picnic blanket and take in the game.

Relaxing on the Western bank of the WACA Ground.

This photo was taken at the 2015 Cricket World Cup when Australia played Afghanistan. It was a hot summers day in Perth and sitting on the Western bank was a great way to cool down and unwind after a long day’s work. For the record the Aussies scored 417 batting first and won easily, by almost 260 runs.
